 EMERGENCY OVERVIEW

.  Clear light  brown  liquid  . emulsifies  in water,  smells  of  solvent .

.  Harmful , possible  risk  of  irreversible  effects  in  contact  with  skin (R40/21)1

.  Mildly  irritating  to  skin  and  eyes .

.  Prolonged  skin contact  will  result in defattening of  the  skin , leading to irritation

    and   in  some cases  dermatitis.      

.  Inhalation  of  solvent vapours may give rise to  nausea, headaches and  dizziness

4. FIRST-AID MEASURE

CONTACT WITH SKIN:

After contact with  skin , wash immediately with plenty of soap and water ( S 28) Seek medical attention if  irritation  persists.

Contaminated  clothing  should  be  laundered  before  reuse.

CONTACT  WITH  EYES:

If  substance has got into eyes ,  immediately wash out with plenty of water for  at  least 15 minutes.

Seek  immediate  medical  attention .

INGESTION:

NEVER  MAKE  AN  UNCONSCIUS  PERSON  VOMIT  OR  DRINK  FLUIDS !

Seek  immediate  medical  attention .

Do  not  induce  vomiting , rinse  mouth  with  water  but  do  not  swallow

INHALATION:

Remove  patient  to  fresh  air .

Seek  immediate  medical  attention  if  ill  effects  occur.

5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES

In  case   of  fire ,  use  foam , carbon  dioxide  or  dry  agent  ( S 43).

Do  not  use  water  jets.

In   case  of  fire , do not  breathe  fumes.

Keep  containers  exposed  to  fire  cool , by  spraying  with  water .

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Shut  off  all   ignition  sources.

Wear  protective  clothing  as  per   section  8.

Contain  spillage  by  any  means   possible.

Absorb  spillage  in  suitable inert  material  and  place  in  appropriate  container.

Ventilate  the  area  and  wash  spill  site  after  material  pick – up  is  complete.
